D.B.TARPLEY

REVIEWS
"Went in with an 'I'll give it a chance' and didn't come up for air until completed. I didn't do that for The Strain novels in spite of starting off with a clear weekend and the initial desire to do just that.
Take it from me, drop your dollars and enjoy the self generated visuals."
"I had no idea what to expect but was captivated by Mr. Tarpley's premise. Before I knew what hit me I'd been swept up with Penny, Mr. F, and Gnat on a wild adventure through the strange apocalyptic landscape of the author's fascinating imagination. Despite the humor and wit, this is hardcore heart pounding adult horror at it's best. I'm very interested to see where Mr. Tarpley takes this series."
"I don't often write book reviews because usually by the time I read the book others have already expressed my opinion. But in this case... I'm the first! I will say up front I am not very far into this book yet, but I am already telling everyone and anyone who will listen to take a look at this book! I can vividly see each of Tarpley's scenes in a movie. It's for sure a page turner, because I have NO IDEA where Tarpley is going with this! I think Tarpley must be a genius, because he pulls in ideas from all over the place, plays with language, and just surprises in big and little ways. "
"The novel reads well, working on many levels. At the end of this first volume we want more. However, the visceral writing can put off some readers and some scenes are quite shocking, raw, and bloody. But is this really surprising in a world of zombies where a vampire is the protagonist? In short, this novel is a perfectly fun horror romp.
I do not regret my purchase and am looking forward to the sequel."
